Woman drives up to hospital with dead daughter, pulls knife: authorities

ORLANDO, Fla. — Sheriff’s investigators say a woman pulled up to a hospital in Orlando asking for help for her 11-year-old daughter, nevertheless she was already dead from plenty of stab wounds.

Then, they’re saying she pulled a knife on hospital workers.

Officials say 28-year-old Rosa Alcides Rivera was arrested Sunday morning and charged with first-degree murder throughout the dying of her daughter, Aleyda Rivera.

Hospital workers instructed investigators the mother turned “argumentative” with hospital workers sooner than producing a knife. Hospital security detained her.

The Orlando Sentinel research Winnie Palmer Hospital was briefly locked down and the precept entrance remained closed in the middle of the incident.
