A setting up at a veterans hospital in Virginia was evacuated on Wednesday after an “unknown chemical odor” – that later turned out to be urine – panicked officers.
Around 2:30 p.m., the Hampton VA Medical Center’s psychological nicely being setting up was cleared due to the odor. Soon after, the native fireside division and their hazmat employees have been responding to the state of affairs.
The facility’s air top quality was being examined, and two members of hospital employees who “came into contact with the substance” have been positioned beneath medical commentary, in accordance to a Facebook put up from the flexibility.
It turns out the “unknown chemical odor” was urine. A spokesperson for the hospital instructed WTKR that the “pungent, overwhelming” stench was from a sample.
