The media mogul opened 330-acre filming superior inside the Fort McPherson area that drew practically every principal African-American star.
A gala event Saturday included celebs paying homage to Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, Cicely Tyson, Sidney Poitier, director Ava DuVernay, and so many others.
Naturally, there has been a great deal of Instagrams to mark the big celebration for the $250 million studios.
“I am so grateful to have witnessed Black Excellence, History, and Greatness!” Kelly Rowland posted on pictures displaying her on the event. “The ground we stood on, the room! And EVERYTHING this Lot represents! I am humbled, inspired, and so encouraged! Thank You for being a force!”
The studio, which includes 12 sound ranges named for esteemed black performers, was constructed on an internet site that served as a Confederate navy base all through the American Civil War.
Perry turned the first African-American to open his private studio in 2006, which was at one different location in Atlanta.
But the model-new superior marks a critical achievement for the one that started out as a struggling playwright who on events was homeless.
Since then, Perry has turned out to be a well-known actor, producer, and director, whose 20 films have grossed higher than $900 million domestically.
The weekend included a Sunday service and brunch, which moreover drew a bevy of stars.
“Headed for a triple dose of inspiration this morning!” singer Michelle Williams, the third member of Destiny’s Child Instagrammed, displaying off her Sunday best. “Still celebrating @tylerperry and the opening of @tylerperrystudios! It’s absolutely breathtaking!!”
Perry purchased part of the decommissioned Fort McPherson in 2015.
