Nicki Minaj cancels her concert at a Saudi Arabia music festival




Minaj was scheduled to headline the Jeddah World Fest, a music and effectivity festival, on July 18.
Saudi Arabia is a conservative kingdom the place of us in some public areas are segregated by gender and same-sex relationships are criminalized.

Last week, the nonprofit Human Rights Foundation is known as for the rapper to cancel her concert, and on Tuesday, it thanked Minaj for her decision.

“THANK YOU @NICKIMINAJ for canceling your #SaudiArabia concert and for supporting LGBTQ & women’s rights. Millions of people around the world are inspired by your devotion to human rights and human dignity. We at @HRF salute you & are grateful for your leadership,” the group talked about on Twitter.
Minaj posted a picture on Instagram addressing her change of coronary coronary heart.

“Saudi Arabia I see some of your comments & I want to respond directly to my fans,” the reads, “Voice your opinions here.”

She talked about in an assertion, “After cautious reflection, I’ve decided to no longer switch forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest.

“While I would like nothing greater than to carry my present to followers in Saudi Arabia, after higher educating myself on the problems, I imagine it is necessary for me to clarify my assist for the rights of ladies, the LGBTQ group and freedom of expression.”
