A fiery flash throughout the Los Angeles sky led to residents to fear meteor had landed throughout the metropolis on Wednesday night — nonetheless the flying object was part of a film shoot.
The present, which befell shut to the skyscape of downtown Los Angeles, was a pair of wingsuit flyers parachuting in as part of a promotional stunt.
It led to a vibrant flash of light that was caught on cellphone video.
Police alerted locals that there was no hazard to the group.
“PSA: A meteor did not crash into Downtown Los Angeles, and no, it’s not an alien invasion…just a film shoot. This is Tinseltown after all,” the LAPD wrote on Twitter.
Some had been happy that they’d seen an atmospheric event.
“Anyone else just see the Meteor over LA?” on man wrote on Twitter. “Incredible. Coolest thing I’ve seen.”
