Benjamin Netanyahu wants to name Israeli town after Trump

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to name a town throughout the Golan Heights after President Trump — proposing that the neighborhood throughout the disputed territory be dubbed Kiryat Trump or “Trump Town” in English.

Netanyahu on Tuesday toured the Golan collectively along with his partner and sons and acknowledged a neighborhood or neighborhood on the Golan Heights wants to be named after the president in thanks in appreciation for his recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the strategic area, The Jerusalem Post reported.

“I am here with my family and many citizens of Israel at the foot of the Golan Heights, happy with the joy of the holiday and our beautiful country,” Netanyahu acknowledged in a video.

“And there is more joy — a few weeks ago I brought President Trump’s official recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights forever.”

Netanyahu acknowledged there was “a need to express our appreciation by calling a community or neighborhood on the Golan Heights after Donald Trump. I will bring that to the government soon.”

Trump’s recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights acquired right here in late March, weeks sooner than the April 9 elections, 52 years after Israel captured the world all through the Six Day War, and 38 years after Israel annexed the world, the paper reported.
