“We’re devastated by the lack of Matadi and our coronary heart goes out to his father, his mom and the remainder of his household, and all his outdated and new mates,” the assertion continued.

On Dec. 12, the younger boy traveled to Los Angeles to bear surgical procedure to take away the tumor. Mutombo’s basis, together with a number of different companions, helped sponsor the boy’s journey to the U.S., and surgeons on the Osborne Head and Neck Basis have been doing the process without spending a dime, WLS-TV reported.

The retired NBA star met Matadi on the airport when he arrived. The Dikembe Mutombo Basis is “devoted to bettering the well being, schooling and high quality of life for the folks of the Democratic Republic of the Congo,” in response to the charity’s web site. Mutombo’s basis has constructed a hospital in his native nation.
