Red Sox bring back RHP Nathan Eovaldi on $67.5M pact

Dec. 6 (UPI) — Postseason hero Nathan Eovaldi is staying in Beantown after agreeing to a contract extension with the Boston Purple Sox.

A supply instructed MLB.com that the right-handed pitcher agreed to a four-year, $67.5 million pact with the Purple Sox on Thursday.

Eovaldi, 28, posted a Three.33 ERA and a Three-Three file in 12 appearances this season for the Purple Sox. He joined the World Sequence champions in July as a part of a commerce with the Tampa Bay Rays. Eovaldi had a Four.26 ERA and a 2-Four file in 10 appearances with the Rays earlier than transferring to Boston.

For his profession, Eovalid has a Four.16 ERA nad a 44-53 file. He made $2 million final season.

Eovaldi posted a 1.61 ERA and a 2-1 file within the 2018 postseason. He allowed only one earned run in three World Sequence appearances in opposition to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Eovaldi allowed a complete of 4 earned runs in his six appearances this postseason.
