Pope says he's worried about homosexuality in the priesthood

VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis has been quoted as saying homosexuality inside the clergy “is one factor that worries me.”

In excerpts from an interview to be printed shortly in a e-book, he was moreover quoted as saying “in our societies it even seems homosexuality is stylish.”

Italian day-to-day Corriere della Sera’s website Saturday ran e-book excerpts.

Individually, the Italian info firm ANSA quoted Francis inside the e-book as labeling as an “error” the argument that having gays in convents “shouldn’t be so grave.” Francis says “there is no such thing as a place for that type of affection” amongst clergy.
