Man tried to kill girlfriend on Christmas morning: police

LINCOLN, Del. — Authorities in Delaware say a Lincoln man shot his girlfriend in her torso on Christmas whereas two youngsters had been house.

News retailers report state police say 40-year-old Javaghn D. Waples additionally caught himself in an higher extremity. Both Waples and the 37-year-old lady had been taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening accidents.

Police say Waples and the lady argued early that morning and Waples shot her in her torso. It’s unclear what prompted the argument. It is also unclear how Waples and the lady are related to the kids, ages 12 and 15.

Waples was arrested on expenses together with tried first-degree homicide. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer who can remark on his behalf.
