Kodak Black is seeking permission from a Florida judge to leave the state while on probation because his physicians believe that spending the final 30 days of his treatment at a facility outside of Florida will be beneficial to him.
Kodak’s doctors and treatment specialist believe he would benefit from a facility outside of Florida, according to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, however the location and details were not published for security reasons.
According to Kodak’s team, his doctors believe that treating him in a different setting for a period of time will give him a higher chance of success.
The plea comes just days after Kodak sent out some ominous tweets that raised concerns about his mental health among Yak admirers. He expressed sadness and depression, as well as troubles with women and popularity.
Kodak has erased all of his social media accounts after the incident, leaving only a few tweets such as «Sitting In My Room Crying Feel Like Killing Myself.»
Kodak’s legal team has filed a request with the court to join an out-of-state residential treatment center for the final 30 days of his court-ordered residential program.
Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s attorney, tells TMZ that if and when probation approves, they’d want to send Kodak to a different state. Cohen remained tight-lipped regarding Kodak’s failing drug test and his troubling tweets.
After failing a drug test as part of his supervised release in his federal firearms case, Kodak was ordered to seek treatment.
Kodak’s request has yet to be decided by the judge. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
Prayers going up for him right now
