Iggy Azalea defends decision to continue concert after dancer’s seizure on stage

Iggy Azalea has defended her decision to continue a concert no matter a backing dancer struggling a seizure mid-song.

The Australian rapper and pop star, most interesting acknowledged for her 2014 hit Fancy, was performing in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday when a dancer collapsed on stage.

The 28-year-old continued to perform, apparently unaware of the severity of the dancer’s scenario, and went on to finish the concert on the Maracana Stadium.

She has now defended her decision to obtain this, writing on her Instagram story to give an exchange on the performer’s scenario.

“Just want to let everyone asking know my dancer is OKAY! The light & heat caused her to have a seizure. She is backstage feeling much better,” she wrote.

The rapper, who was criticised by some social media prospects for persevering with the effectivity, revealed she initially thought the dancer had “fallen/twisted her ankle” and that is the rationale she saved singing.

She instructed her followers that though it “may sound harsh”, you “keeping singing until the music stops & ask for a medic which is what I did”.

She added: “We are all really shaken up by what happened & just thankful she is okay.”

Azalea then urged her followers not to unfold pictures and memes of the stricken dancer on-line.

She wrote: “I do know it’s easy to make memes of anyone ‘handed out’ nonetheless anyone having a seizure just isn’t humorous, it’s truly scary!

“So I hope my followers don’t repost among the memes i am seeing about my dancer.”
