Guatemala wants full probe into migrant boy who died in ICE custody




The Guatemalan overseas ministry known as for an investigation into the Christmas Day loss of life of an Eight-year-old boy whereas in authorities custody, in keeping with a report from the Associated Press.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection mentioned in a press release that the boy confirmed “signs of potential illness” and was taken to the hospital for therapy Dec. 24.

He was recognized with a chilly and fever then launched with antibiotics and Ibuprofen, in keeping with the company.

The little one was returned to the hospital with nausea and vomiting and died hours later early Christmas morning, officers mentioned.

Guatemalan authorities mentioned the boy entered the U.S. along with his father Dec. 18 at El Paso, Texas, and have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Earlier this month, a 7-year-old Guatemala woman, Jakeline Caal, died whereas in ICE custody.

She perished Dec. 6 from septic shock, fever and dehydration.
