A woman dubbed “Grandma Cuddler” isn’t your typical volunteer inside the neonatal intensive care unit at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Joan Hart, 81, is a “cuddler” and soothes infants inside the NICU by patting them on the once more, holding their tiny arms, using a pacifier or swaddling them. At situations, she holds them with help from the nurses.
