DeSean Jackson wants to leave Buccaneers

Dec. 27 (UPI) — Wide receiver Desean Jackson wants to transfer on from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sources instructed ESPN that the veteran pass-catcher wants to be on a unique staff and that it could be “beneficial for him to be in a new environment and to get a fresh start.”

The report comes after sources instructed NFL.com in October that Jackson requested a commerce from the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay refused to grant him the request.

Jackson, 31, made $11 million in 2018 and has an un-guaranteed $10 million on his deal in 2019. The 11-year veteran has 774 yards and 4 touchdowns on 41 receptions in 12 video games this season. He leads the league with 18.9 yards per catch. Jackson had at the least 100 receiving yards in three of his first 4 video games however has failed to attain that mark since Week 4. He had a season-low one catch in Week 16 in opposition to the Dallas Cowboys.

The three-time Pro Bowl choice performed the primary six years of his profession with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier than becoming a member of the Washington Redskins in 2014. He signed with the Buccaneers in 2017.
